What works

Bring the video you already have.

  • A public YouTube link

Watch pages, Shorts and youtu.be links. YouTube videos are read from their link; nothing is copied or kept.

  • Instagram, TikTok and other video links

Reels, TikToks, Facebook, Pinterest, Vimeo and more. We fetch the video for the import and delete it when it’s done.

  • A video file

From your computer or phone, up to 1 GB and 1 hour. Drop it anywhere on the page.

A card that looks sure and gets the amount wrong is worse than no card.

Honest cards

Honest cards

  • Every amount says where it came from

Seen on screen, said out loud, or inferred. An inferred amount carries the word “inferred”, and one tap tells you why.

  • When the two disagree, you see both

If the caption says 1 tbsp and the cook says two spoons, the card keeps the on-screen figure and shows you the other. No averaging.

  • No recipe, no card

If the video doesn’t show a recipe, you get an honest “no recipe in this video”, not a card we filled in. It doesn’t use a free video.

  • Servings and time only when stated

If the video never says how many it serves or how long it takes, the card says “Not stated” instead of guessing.

Several dishes

One video, every recipe.

A meal-prep video with five dishes becomes a list of five recipes. Save one, or save them all. It still counts as one video.

Free and Plus

3 free videos, then Plus.

Your first 3 videos that give you a recipe are free. Then Plus is $7.99 a week, $17.99 a month or $39.99 a year: unlimited imports, fair use applies. Your saved recipes stay readable either way.
